HOLY GRAIL for DUMMIES is an absurd comedy action-platformer about an aging hero, a bizarre fantasy world, and the people unfortunate enough to live in it.
The game is currently available in Early Access on Steam, with a complete first act already playable while we continue working on the rest of the adventure.
At its core, HOLY GRAIL for DUMMIES is a story-driven platforming adventure with exploration, combat, bosses, secrets, minigames, lots of dialogue... But describing it like that makes it sound much more normal than it actually is.
You play as Buckethead - a knight who keeps getting dragged into increasingly ridiculous situations while travelling through a world filled with strange characters, questionable rulers, annoying magical creatures, and people who should probably never have been given authority over anything.
We've been developing this game for three years now, and it's not VERY big, but it's quite fun and can brighten up your evening!
The first act takes Buckethead through several different areas, boss encounters and side activities, with plenty of optional secrets hidden throughout the world.
We wanted the world to feel less like a sequence of levels and more like a place full of life, characters with purpose, which may have their own problems and worries even outside of your adventure.
HOLY GRAIL for DUMMIES is still being actively developed.
The current Early Access version contains the complete first act, with roughly 4–5 hours of content, depending on how much time you spend exploring and looking for secrets.
Future updates will continue expanding the game with new areas, characters, bosses, story content and so on!
