Nintendo Direct: Kirby and the World Beyond is coming to Switch 2 Spring 2027

A new 3D adventure is on the horizon for Kirby!

In the latest Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Kirby and the World Beyond is set to release for Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2027. Get ready to freely explore beyond Planet Popstar with a new open-world adventure and put his Copy abilities to creative use.

In the new trailer, we get a glimpse of Kirby exploring a big open space free to roam, fighting enemies, eating all his favorite foods, and doing many other classical Kirby shenanigans that we’re familiar with. At one point, we also get to experience Kirby somehow smashing through the sky above and revealing a world beyond his home.

We don’t know more details yet about what World Beyond entails besides it being a brand-new, major game that also sets the stage for Kirby’s 35th anniversary. Nintendo is really taking it to the next step with exploring an open world through the eyes of this little pink guy who fans love.
